Welcome.
I was born at West Mersea, part of a small island off the Essex coast about 10 miles south of the
roman town of Colchester.
I first became interested in photography at the age of 15. During a school holiday to Cornwall I
purchased my first camera- a Kodak 127 costing £1.10.0d (One pound fifty pence in todays money!) A few years later I joined
Colchester Camera Club and I was then the proud owner of a Paxette Rangefinder camera. As my interest grew I found out that
an SLR was needed to fulfill my interest in close-up photography. First a Russian Zenit, built like a brick! then a
Praktica and onto a Canon A1 and finally a Canon EOS500 which I still have today and use for my colourslide work. For my digital
photography I use a Canon 300D.
I now reside in Suffolk where the coastline is still relatively unspoilt and remain a member of Mersea
Island PS which I helped to form 30 years ago. My subject interest in photography is varied and ranges from animals/birds
in zoos, to landscapes and abstracts.
Enjoy your browse through my photographs and please leave a comment in my guestbook. Be as critical
as you wish.
